Terms of Use

What these calculators are, what they are not, and the limits of what you should rely on them for.

Last updated 2 October 2026

Not tax advice

This site provides estimates for planning purposes only. It is not tax advice, not accounting advice, and not a substitute for a qualified professional. Nothing here creates a client relationship of any kind.

Tax law is fact-specific. Your result depends on credits, deductions, prior-year carryovers, state and local rules, entity structure, and elections that no general calculator can account for. A CPA who knows your situation may reach a materially different number. Before you file, make a payment, or make a decision with money at stake, confirm with a qualified professional.

What the calculators do

Each calculator applies a published formula to the figures you enter, using the constants stated on the page and cited to their source. Every calculation runs in your browser. We do not see, store, or transmit what you enter.

Accuracy and the tax year

Federal constants are verified against the issuing authority — the IRS, the SSA — and each page shows the date it was last verified. Those constants change every year. If you are using this site after a tax year has ended, check that the figures shown match the year you are filing for.

Some state figures are marked provisional on the page that uses them. That word means the state authority has not yet published final amounts and the figure shown is subject to revision. Do not treat a provisional figure as settled.

We aim to be accurate and to correct errors when we find them. We do not warrant that the site is free of errors, complete, or current at the moment you read it.

No liability

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage — including tax penalties, interest, or missed payments — arising from your use of the site or your reliance on any figure it produces.

Acceptable use

You may use this site for personal or internal business purposes. You may link to any page. You may not scrape it at volume, republish its content as your own, or present its output as professional advice to third parties.

Advertising

This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over the calculators, the figures, or the content of any page. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising affects your data.
